For the first two weeks of our current sermon series "Follow", our church has been having baptisms.  We baptized 2,158 people over the past two weeks.  Scott was one of those people!

 

Thanks to my good friend, Sarah Westbrook for taking these (and more) photos for me so that I could watch!  Our church is actually going to mail us some professional photos.

 

Our church also put out a video of the first weekend of baptisms.  Scott is seen very briefly at the 1:16 mark (if you look closely) but his actual baptism is shown in slow motion at the 3:46 mark.  Out of 2,158 people...I don't know how we were lucky enough that he made the video.  :-)

Slowly But Surely....

...I'll catch up these posts.  The past week has been such a blur starting with Laura's birthday.  So much has happened.  I'm going to try to keep my posts in order.  That means that tonight I will post some photos from Laura's birthday party. 

For Laura's birthday, the family went to one of Laura's favorite places....Red Robin.  Laura was so happy!  Here is a picture of Laura with her play therapist, Lisa.  Laura loves Lisa. 

Here, the waiters and waitresses are all singing "Happy Birthday" to Laura.  Due to her sensory issues, Laura is not a fan of loud singing.  Either that or they "stank". 

After dinner, we all went back to Kevin & Rana's house for cake and presents.  Laura had a "Dora the Explorer" party.  Laura LOVES Dora!

We sang "Happy Birthday" to Laura.  Yet again, I think we stank.  

 

OK.  We're done singing.  Here Lisa is teaching Laura to eat cake...

Laura got LOTS of presents.  She had so much fun!

All in all, it was a FANTASTIC day for Laura and the rest of the family!

Five years ago today my sunshine was born...

Wow!  It's hard to believe she ever looked like this!  This is her hospital picture.  She's wearing an outfit that her Aunt Julie gave her (That's me!).  Birthday party pictures to follow soon....

My eGirls!

At my church we have small groups called eGroups.  There are eGroups of every size, shape & interest that you can think of (almost)!  My eGroup is a "Women's Sermon Discussion" group.  We meet every Tuesday night at the home of our leader, Connie.  Our group is small but we are a very, very close group and enjoy "doing life" together.   Here are my girls.....  My boat is better with you on it!
