December is here and I'm getting excited about Christmas. If there is one thing I have learned in 2017, it is how to appreciate every single day.
Last Sunday, Scott and I went to visit his Grandmother. She LOVES to play cards. We barely got in the door before she was asking to play. Nell is 89 and a card shark. This time we played Skip-Bo and, of course, she won both games. She ALWAYS wins.
Fuzzy stopped by to see my Mom. I wonder where Fuzzy lives and what Fuzzy's name really is...
Here I am hanging out with Dad. I guess I was boring because he kept falling asleep. I seem to put Mom and Dad to sleep a lot these days!
Our big puzzle of the week has been Balto. Something is wrong with my sweet boy. Balto always greets me at the door with either one of my shoes or some clothes that he has found on the floor or in the hamper. As you may recall, on more than one occasion, Balto greeted Scott's friend Eric with my dirty underwear.
Anyway.... Starting around Thursday night, Balto didn't greet me at the door. Then, he didn't come to supper. He was licking obsessively and he licked his legs and his mouth for about 3 hours straight. Scott took him to the Vet on Saturday where they prescribed him an antibiotic and Prednisone. He seems to be some better however, we still have no idea what the problem is. If he doesn't get better in a few days, he is supposed to go back to the Dr for further evaluation. The vet's best thought was that he might have gotten into something toxic. We can't find any evidence of that and, frankly, Balto is too lazy to get into anything. Blossom would.
I hope you and Scott aren't putting money on the table when you play cards with Nell, because it sounds like you might end up losing your shirts!
ReplyDeleteOh, I hope Balto is all right. It does sound like he got into something. Maybe he disturbed an anthill and got a snootful of biting ants.
