Thursday, Mom turned 82.  We celebrated by going to her favorite restaurant, Firebirds.

I hope everyone had a nice President's Day.  Our company started giving us President's Day off last year and I couldn't be happier.  You will never hear me complain about a holiday!  It's funny how far the little things go in keeping up employee morale.

It was all I could do not to visit a cat cafe on my day off.  I knew I needed to do some actual cleaning though.  There is a cat cafe in Charlotte called Daily Mews.  I have never been to this particular cafe before and I really want to go.  Check out an article Hauspanther did on Daily Mews here.

I spent most of my day cleaning.  Boy, did I have a mess to clean.  Here are my "before" pictures.

Friday Review

My week has been....well, to steal a word from Phoebe Buffay...it has been "floopy".  

Balto took my shoe outside and dropped it in the farthest spot in the back yard fence where I rarely go.  Thankfully, I looked out the window and saw him carrying it around or that would have been the end of my shoe.  It was an LL Bean wool slipper and it started pouring rain soon after I retrieved it.  

A Jumbled Mess of Randomness

This post is as scattered as my brain is this week.  I feel like I've been running from one responsibility to the next without even taking time to just breathe.

I got to hang out with Ty again this week while my neighbors were out of town.

Eye #2, Deja Vu

Dad had to be at the surgery center this morning at 6:00 a.m.  SIX A.M.!!!  I'm pretty sure my brain didn't think I'd be able to get up at 4:45 so, I woke up around 2:00 a.m. instead.  Sleepily, we made our way in the dark to the surgery center.   

Dad was making a duck face on purpose.
