It's Friday night and I'm on my couch watching Alice. I'm on Day 11 of a super fun cold and I'm trying to type this post in between violent coughing fits. I'm so tired of coughing and I just want it to go away. I wake up every day thinking "Today's the day it goes away". It hasn't.
My Uncle Skee is in the hospital and he isn't doing very well. It seems like so many people that I love are having a really tough time right now. I hope that we all catch a break real soon!
I've gotten so far behind with my blog. Here's a quick recap:
Aunt Zell texted this photo of her dog, Toto. I thought it was too cute not to share.
Not Mom's cat enjoyed a nap in front of her Christmas tree.
Mom and I had lunch at Jim 'N Nick's BBQ last Saturday.
Daniel played while Nana and Papa napped.
Scott continued working on my sideboard.
Daniel came over for a visit and made a friend.
My Camellias are starting to bloom.
Laura had fun.
Daniel was in the Waxhaw Christmas Parade. It was sunny and 60 degrees - the perfect day for a parade. Here he is showing off his patches.
Scott and Blossom shared some love.
Dad put eye drops in Mom's eyes to prepare for Cataract surgery.
Mom had Cataract surgery on eye #1.
I had to take a sick day from work. The dogs and I sat outside and enjoyed the 74 degree day.
More sideboard progress.
Blossom & Balto went to the groomer. Balto wouldn't get off the couch so I could take his picture. Here's Blossom:
Here's hoping all is well with you. I hope to get back to my "normal" blogging soon when I catch a break!
I'm enjoying Scott's progress on your sideboard. He's a multitalented man. I'm glad you pointed out Toto in the fireplace photo--at first glance I thought he was one of the decorations. Too cute! Hurry up and get well from your cold. No one should be sick at Christmas. Gosh, 74 degrees! I can only imagine. We're enjoying a heat wave of sorts: temp right now is 44 degrees, up from this week's teens and 20s. Add gale force winds and it's a wonder Truffles didn't blow away when we went for a walk.
