Winning

Tuesday, I was sitting in the conference room at work, eating my lunch, when I decided to check Twitter.  I follow the Carolina Hurricanes (of course) and they tweeted that the first 2 people to go to a certain Sport Clips (that happened to be nearby) and say "Let's Go Canes" would win 2 tickets to the game vs. Montreal on 4/5.  I thought about it for about 10 minutes and finally, I hit the road.  Embarrassed, I walked into that Sports Clips and said, "Let's Go Canes" and won!

The next day, I was telling my boss that I would need to take 'game day' off (the NEXT day) and he told me that if I would drop off some boxes to our office in Raleigh, he would pay for my hotel room, gas & meals!  I realize that the boxes needed delivered but I know that he was really just being nice and making my trip even more special. 

So, Thursday, Christy and I headed up to Raleighwood.  We had a BLAST!  Our tickets were great, the hotel was great, frankly, it was just a great trip.  OH, and the Hurricanes won the game in a shootout.  Here are a few pics:

I could KICK myself for not taking a picture of Christy and myself.  Oh well, you live and learn.

I have to add that an added bonus to the trip was getting to see my friend Warren Chesson before the game.  Hi Warren!
