January Life

Sunday, January 19, 2020

It's still looks like Christmas at my house.  Balto and I are sitting on the couch watching The King of Queens while enjoying the lights on the Christmas tree.  Blossom is, of course, downstairs with Scott.

A picture of the dogs hanging out with Scott in his office earlier this week:

Balto still loves shoes.  He never eats them; he just likes to have them close by.

I snuck this photo of my parents doing dishes the other night.

Barbara, my cousin, sent this picture of her dad and his best friend celebrating the new year.   L to R: Doris & my 96 year old uncle, Skee (Henry).

After taking Mom to her hair appointment on Saturday, I was able to go with Blossom to her therapy appointment.

Blossom loves to drink the water in the tank while she works hard.

Every segment on the treadmill is rewarded with peanut butter or spray cheese.  Blossom isn't picky; she loves them both.

Laser time.  Blossom refuses to wear her goggles.

I happened to see Laura's book bag at Mom's house one night this week.  I looked in her folder to see what she has been working on in school.

Clearly, she needs practice.  After we had our Bible lesson at church today, I had Laura work on her numbers.

She worked hard today.  I'm so proud of her.

The dogs and I spent the afternoon relaxing and enjoying a nap.

This has been a very hard week for several of my closest friends.  One of my dearest friends lost her father on Friday.  Two other close friends had parents in the hospital this week as well.  Growing up sure is hard.  I'm so thankful for a God who never leaves my side.

I know that I've posted this quote before as it is my favorite.  It truly inspires me:

I'm learning...and I'm dancing!

  1. I had to laugh at that photo of Blossom getting peanut butter as a treat. Truffles usually gets either a baked treat made with peanut butter or a mini marrow bone. She likes the pb treat better, so I've started smearing the mini marrow bones with a little bit of pb and she goes nuts for them.

    I like that quote, too.
