I wish we could just skip winter altogether.  This week, we went from tornadoes on Thursday to 3 hours of snow on Saturday.  Thankfully, it was too warm for the snow to stick.

Merry February

The last week of January was an absolute blur.  Literally.  My beloved eye doctor moved to an office across town so I decided to try a new doctor at a different practice.  Mistake.  This (well known, local) practice has not upgraded their technology and for the first time in almost a decade, I had my eyes dilated.  Due to my sensitivity to the drops, it took almost 6 hours before I could focus my eyes at work.

Needless to say, I'll be going back to where I came from.

Still January

January is such an interesting month.  It is a month that usually provokes a lot of reflection for me; renewed hope and restored anxiety.  My favorite thing about January is that the sun sets later and later in the day.  I am sure that I have a bit of Seasonal Affective Disorder and I am so thankful that it is still daylight after 6:00 p.m. now.  Here are some highlights from my January week:

January Life

It's still looks like Christmas at my house.  Balto and I are sitting on the couch watching The King of Queens while enjoying the lights on the Christmas tree.  Blossom is, of course, downstairs with Scott.

Winter?

I am so loving winter this year!  Nothing beats 72 degree weather in January.  

Every night, we walk Blossom and Balto in the neighborhood across the street from our house.  Since Blossom's diagnosis, our walks are much shorter.  She can no longer make it all the way to the neighborhood pond.  Last night, we decided to drive to the clubhouse so that the dogs could walk around the pond.  It's funny how such a little act could bring them so much joy.  Check out Blossom's smile below:  

Happy 2020! New Year, Same Me

This post is a little late and jumbled.  I totally forgot to post it last week!  I've added a few things to catch up.

My company let us go home at Noon on New Year's Eve.  I spent the afternoon taking a long nap with Blossom.
