It was the first grade. I guess I was bored. Our classroom had its own bathroom. I clearly remember going into the bathroom and deciding to put a whole roll of toilet paper into the toilet. It had been done before; many times. I don't know why I did it. What happened next is what stands out in my mind.
My sweet teacher, Ms. Lathan, asked the class who put the roll of toilet paper in the toilet. She asked numerous times. No one confessed. Why would they when it was me? Ms. Lathan said that if someone didn't confess, the entire class would have to be punished. No recess and we would have to sit at our desks with our heads down and the lights off. And that is what we did.
I don't know what I was thinking.
Fast forward to third grade. I told (name withheld) that I saw a Rubik's Cube in a toilet. I don't know why I told her this. Little did I know, she'd have to go see it for herself. Not only did she have to go see it, she got Grace Farris, our school principal, to go see it with her. They came to the class for me. They asked me which toilet it was in because they had stuck their hands in each toilet to find it but could not.
I told them, "Well I thought I saw a Rubik' s Cube in a toilet but now I think it was probably just a paper Rubik's Cube". Mrs Farris asked me if I was lying. I told her no. I was lying.
I guess we all have a past.
Oh, Julie! You were a bad, bad little girl. Just think: if anyone from your elementary school class is reading this now, they'll finally know it was you. :D
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you finally confessed. The truth will set you free....Now you can move on. Hahaha
