Ever since I was a little girl, I have wanted to take an art class. Having hand tremors, I was always afraid to do so because I didn't want people to notice my shaky hands. I'm SO over being afraid and.....
I did it! Here's the finished product:

I can't wait until next month! Before I left work to go to the class, I told my boss that I might not be back on Friday because I might discover that I am a brilliant artist. He said, "I've seen your shaky hands and you couldn't paint hair." LOL. When I showed him a picture of my painting he said, "You did that? That's pretty damn good". I'm sure he was just being kind but, it made me feel proud of myself. I'm an average girl and I've never been really great at anything that I can think of but, I do feel a sense of pride that I faced my fear! He insisted on calling me "Rembrandt" all day Friday.
Hmmm....what fear do I want to tackle next?
I agree with your boss--your painting is pretty damn good! And I'm not just being kind, either, because I have dabbled in art since I was in high school, so I know a thing or two about painting. I hope you go back to class and paint some more!
