Oprah likes to talk about her favorite things so, maybe I should too. Oprah and I have a lot in common like.... We both wear glasses. We both like dogs. We both like bread.
I've decided to start a regular post called, "Julie's Favorite Things". Actually, I just decided it right now. I realize that much like Oprah, the public wants to know what are Julie's favorite things. I hope that the retailers are ready for the buying frenzy that this post is going to cause. Maybe I'll just post 3 of my favorite things at a time. You know, so that the universe will stay in balance.
#1. Organic Valley Chocolate Milk.
If you've followed this blog from the beginning and, of course you have, you know that the blog title is a cross between my love of chocolate milk and an 80's song by Australian band The Church.
#2. Frownies
I have the dreaded "Number 11's" as they call it. Really I have just one number 11 but, you get the point. I'd had a box of Frownies for years but I got serious about wearing them to bed back in the fall when I spent many hours at the hospital with my dad. I was so worried and so stressed but I didn't want my forehead to tell the world how badly I needed to rest. I try to use them every night. Frownies keep your forehead from scrunching up while you sleep. It helps to straighten your facial muscles back out and hold them in place over night. You can actually put them anywhere on your face but I just put them on my 11.
#3. Sweet's Syrup
This stuff is amazing. It is organic elderberry syrup and honey. I truly believe in the power of elderberry syrup to help fight and even lessen colds & flu. I have seen it work miracles with 2 colds already. I'm hoping that if I get the flu (please God no) that Sweet's Syrup will help with that too. I'm counting on it!
Well there you have it. Julie's Favorite Things Edition 1. You better order while you can.
The Vermont Country Store carries Frownies (and Wrinkies). The products seem to have mixed reviews. I wonder if either would get rid of pillow face, a line that runs from the corner of my eye to my mouth that comes from sleeping on my side with my cheek mashed into the pillow. What does Julie think?
ReplyDeleteHmmm....I do know that it helps my "11" on my forehead so I can't really see why it wouldn't help the line on your cheek. If it were me, I would tell myself, "Hey, it's cheaper than most everything else so what do I have to lose?" If you do try it, I'd say you need to give yourself some time to see if it works. I should have mentioned in the post that I have super sensitive skin on my face and it has never caused any breakouts. Also, I'm careful what products I put on my skin and from what I have read, it is very safe. Good luck!
