Can you guess where I am going?
- My trip is in October and the leaves will be showing off their vivid fall colors.
- It may or may not be snowing!
- I have lots of friends where I'm going but I rarely get to see them.
- I have never been to visit this state although it has been at the top of my list for almost 20 years.
- I'm even going to take a day trip outside of the US to a city where I will be the one speaking a foreign language.
Where am I going???
Vermont! It's got to be Vermont, and the city outside the US is Montreal. Don't worry, lots of folks in Montreal speak English. Or at least they'll understand you even if they pretend they don't. Make sure you have your passport, unless you have a driver's license that doubles as a passport, as most folks along the border do. Lots of places to visit and things to do in Vermont. I know you'll want to stop in at the office (I'm embarrassed to say I haven't visited them in ages) and I hope you'll want to visit me. If you need a tour guide, I'm available. I understand Quebec French better than I can speak it but at least I can decipher the road signs. Is Scott coming too?
ReplyDeleteI KNEW you would guess it! I was hoping you would guess it and be so surprised!!! I'm going to be staying with Liz! No one else knows I'm coming yet but we are hoping that we can all get together and go out to eat so I can see everybody. I am so hoping that you will be there. I want to see you!!!! Scott is not coming with me. He's going to stay home and look after the dogs.
DeleteGlad to hear you're staying with Liz. You'll enjoy her kitty cats. Count me in on the get together. You didn't say what dates in October, but a word of caution: Canadian Thanksgiving coincides with Columbus Day, which means we get lots of Canadian visitors at that time. Thank goodness you won't need a hotel room but restaurants can get busier than usual. It's also the weekend for the Stowe Foliage Arts Festival.
