This Christmas, we celebrated Jesus' birth and Mom and Dad's 60th wedding anniversary.
Mom and Dad were married Christmas Eve, 1958.
We have misplaced their wedding photo album. I remember some of the pictures and I sure hope it turns up. Our fear is that it may have been thrown away by accident.
Dad had a bad head cold but he soldiered on.
We used the original bride & groom topper from their wedding cake 60 years ago. It should also be noted that Scott and I used their topper on our wedding cake 20 years ago.

This is the picture the Bakery put on their website:
The cake was Vanilla Bean Cake with Vanilla Bean Buttercream. It was FANTASTIC.
Ugh, I just realized I didn't take any pictures of their fun presents! I will do that when I am at their house.
This year, again, Scott cooked Prime Rib for Christmas lunch. He started the preparations 2 days ahead.
Balto is hoping someone will feed him.
Thanks again to my neighbor, Malissa, for running over and taking a family photo!!!
There are so many things I love about Christmas but, I don't love the crowds. I'm looking forward to being able to go to the grocery store or work or frankly, the mailbox without having to deal with so many people in such a rush. Part of me really wishes I lived in a small town (like mine used to be).
I hope that everyone had a very Merry Christmas.
Your parents were married on Christmas Eve--how romantic! Happy 60th anniversary to them. I hope their wedding album turns up. Scott looks like he knows what he's doing with that piece of meat. How nice to have a chef in the house. I hope Balto and Blossom scored some morsels from the table. I'm with you when it comes to Christmas crowds. Much as I'd love to go shopping now after Christmas, the thought of crowds of bargain seekers keeps me resolutely at home. (That and an icy snowfall.) Have a Happy New Year.
