Last week was not a week I care to repeat.  Ever.  But, it's a new day and a new week!  

For those of you who are wondering how the girls are getting along, here is a picture that I took of them 2 minutes ago.  They are sitting beside me. 

Blossom had her first obedience class and she did pretty well.  The instructor did note that I was "losing her" at the end of the class but, she said that was normal for dogs after working so hard for an hour.  I think she really enjoyed class.  There are 6 dogs in our class and I'm happy to say that one of them is Christy's dog, Baby Girl.  I am excited for our next class!  Our class consists of a Golden Retriever, Labrador Retriever, Schnauzer, Pit Bull and whatever the heck Baby Girl and Blossom are.  :-) 

I wish I could have taken a picture but, as you know, my camera phone is broken.  (Thanks Blossom) My super smart husband bought all of the parts to rebuild my phone and is working on it  I can't wait. :-)

Big Tuesday

Sunday, Greta surprised me by announcing on Twitter that she has decided to run for President.  She has chosen Mr. T as her Vice Presidential running mate and together they are running under the platform of NO NAP LEFT BEHIND.

Earlier today, Greta informed her Twitter followers (all 15 of them) that she will be unveiling her plans for "Gretacare" later this week. 

In other breaking news,  I left my cell phone at home this morning and returned only to find that Blossom had chewed it up. Unfortunately, she crunched down on the camera lens so there will be no new camera photos for quite a while.  Wah. 

Sunday Morning

Labor Day

Blossom and I started our holiday with a walk in the park. 

Meanwhile, Greta slept on a bag.

Mom and I went to Chick-Fil-A for lunch.  (The diet starts tomorrow....) Boy, was it good.  They really do make the best chicken sandwich on the planet.  

So now, it is 2:30 in the afternoon and I am procrastinating cleaning my house.  It is between that and taking a nap.  Here's what Blossom is doing....

That is literally what she is doing right now.  I turned around and snapped that photo less than 90 seconds ago.  :-)

Well, my eyes are heavy but I am going to TRY to do some housework.  That Chick-Fil-A sandwich is really making me sleepy....

 

PS.  I know what you are saying.  You are saying, "My gosh.  That Julie sure does lead an exciting life."  Try not to be jealous. 

Sunday Funday

In honor of Sunday, Greta and Blossom are observing a day of rest.  Unfortunately, Blossom prefers to rest in the dirt...

However, Blossom didn't rest the entire day.  Here she is patrolling the perimeter of the fence for us....

I can't tell you how happy I am that tomorrow is Labor Day.  My plans are to work on "Blossom proofing" the house by putting up some of the items that Blossom might want to chew on.  So far, we haven't lost anything "important". 

Coming this month:
My dad has shoulder replacement surgery (12th)
Blossom starts school!  (29th)
And....I turn 39! 

I'm also working on a project that I can't wait to share with you!  It should arrive in about 2 weeks.  I'll keep you "posted". 

September 1st

September 1st is my Grandmother's birthday.  If she were alive today, she would have been 115.  She would have said, "I don't know why I'm still here at 115".  (My relatives will get that joke!)
