It was the first grade.  I guess I was bored.  Our classroom had its own bathroom.  I clearly remember going into the bathroom and deciding to put a whole roll of toilet paper into the toilet.  It had been done before; many times.  I don't know why I did it.  What happened next is what stands out in my mind.

Monday Musings

I don't know if Monday Musings works as a title because frankly, I don't know what the word musings actually means.  I think I kind of know what it means but, it is quite possible that I do not.  

Today is Martin Luther King, Jr. Day - a very important day on our calendar in my opinion.  I've been thinking a lot recently about how much courage it takes for people to speak out against injustice.  I feel very convicted about my silence.  It's so easy to feel like you are such a "small" person and there isn't anything you can do to make a difference.  

Three Useless Thoughts

1.  I'm so over winter.

I do not ever remember such a cold winter and I hate it.  Well, Mom always told me that I am not supposed to "hate".  She said I can strongly dislike something but I'm not supposed to hate.  Clearly there are some exceptions to that rule.
