What a busy week! Here's a quick recap of my weekend...
Several weeks ago, Scott decided that he was interested in woodworking. You read that right, several weeks ago! Those of you who know Scott, know that he can pretty much do anything he sets his mind to. After quite a bit of research, look what he has already made ALL BY HIMSELF! I'm always so proud of him....
Not too bad for his first project! He made the entire cabinet for his tools and now he is working on the cabinet doors.
I serve in eHQ at my church. eHQ is the volunteer headquarters where we feed and spoil all of the volunteers at our campus. Tonight (Sunday) I made Baked Ziti for the first time ever. It was a big hit! (Look Ma, I made food!)
Blossom loves obedience class. Despite being the most "energetic" (hyper) of the class, she is doing pretty well. She's been pretty bummed about the NHL lockout this year though, but she's showing her support by wearing
my her Claude Giroux shirt. Yes, I know, her mom is a Hurricanes/Checkers fan but she is also a Claude Giroux fan. (I only wear this shirt around the house or to sleep in because I can't possibly wear a Flyers shirt out in public...)
And finally, Greta is loving the perfect October weather. Here are a couple of shots of her sitting on the porch this afternoon:
Greta thinks this warm, sunny weather is just purrfect for a cat nap!
My Aunt Bobbie sent me a really cool link. It is to a webcam at the Greenville, South Carolina zoo. Here's what Aunt Bobbie wrote:
Greenville Zoo is expecting their first Giraffe
birth ever any day now--there is a live webcam. The baby is due or
overdue. There are two giraffes in the barn or paddock. Only one at a
time in each place, as they are being kept separate.
The mother giraffe's name is Autumn and her tail has long hair at the end.
The father giraffe is Walter, and his tail has short hair at the end.
There is ongoing discussion on the Greenville Zoo's Facebook page for more information.
And here's the link; trust me, it's pretty awesome!
