I wandered outside with my camera to snap some (not blue) snow pictures. Here's the house all covered with snow:
Then I kept on walking and took some pictures of my parents' house, Kevin's house, and Sophie dog in the snow. Before I knew it ....there was someone watching me.
So I went inside and played with the kids for a couple of hours.
Sophie waited patiently outside the door...
Of course Nana and Papaw came over to play with us too...
When I went got back to my house, Scott was making snow cream...
It was YUMMY. We added chocolate syrup to the top and it was even YUMMIER.
Then I decided to grab my new zoom lens and take some pictures of the birds at my bird feeder. They seemed very happy to have food because they kept the feeder extra busy today. I was lucky enough to get a lot of good photos but I'll only post a few (for now).

In case you are wondering, I did NOT enhance the color of the cardinal. This is exactly how brilliant red he was.
After "shooting" some birds, Scott and I played ping-pong. Tonight, the whole family walked over to Kevin & Rana's for dinner. Rana made something very delicious...it was Syrian so I'm not sure what it was called. I took a great photo of it, only to be reminded by my camera that I forgot to put a "card" in it. So, no pictures from tonight.
It was a wonderful snow day however, I am not looking forward to the ice that will follow tomorrow!

Love your bird photos. I especially like the tufted titmouse coming in for a landing feet first. Can't wait to see more!
ReplyDeleteJulie,
ReplyDeleteThose are really goo pictures! I'm impressed! I like the cardinal, the other bird about to land on the feeder, and scott and greta asleep. You have shown great improvement in mastering that camera. one tip though, I like the shot of Scott and greta in front of the window, but that would have been the place to use a 'fill-in' or 'forced' flash. that is when you make the flash go off even whe it is not needed for most of the picture, if done with some thought, it would not effect the scene out the windows. Great job!
