Happy Birthday George & Co.

I hope everyone had a nice President's Day.  Our company started giving us President's Day off last year and I couldn't be happier.  You will never hear me complain about a holiday!  It's funny how far the little things go in keeping up employee morale.

It was all I could do not to visit a cat cafe on my day off.  I knew I needed to do some actual cleaning though.  There is a cat cafe in Charlotte called Daily Mews.  I have never been to this particular cafe before and I really want to go.  Check out an article Hauspanther did on Daily Mews here.

I spent most of my day cleaning.  Boy, did I have a mess to clean.  Here are my "before" pictures.

I hope that these pictures make you feel better about your life.  I didn't take any "after" pictures but the kitchen is 90% 75% clean now.  I promise to take some pictures in the near future to prove that I am working hard on finding balance in my life.

The dogs took it easy...

After school I found Daniel hanging out in my Dad's shop.  Dad was feeling weak and tired so he was sitting in a chair supervising.

 

In relaxing news, I get a massage every 8 weeks and Saturday was my appointment day.  I tell myself that I need one for preventative maintenance.    My therapist, Jane, asked me if I was having any problems.  I told her that I was not.  She then proceeded to roll the warm hot bamboo stick across my shoulder and upper back.  You should have heard the noise coming from the fascia in my shoulder.  She said, "OH!"  I told her that I guessed I was having problems after all.  I carry most of my stress in my neck and every time I get a massage, I feel like I grow about 2 inches.   

Then there is Laura.  Laura loves church.  Heck, Laura loves everything.

I just wanted to post the flowers Dad gave Mom for Valentine's Day (with help from Kevin & Rana).

Our next holiday will be Good Friday.  That's too far away....
