I can't believe it has been so long since I posted. Christmas was a wonderful blur. I was blessed to host my family. Scott made prime rib, garlic mashed potatoes & gravy. I made green bean casserole (dad's favorite). Mom brought deviled eggs, macaroni and cheese. Oh, and bread. Mom brought the bread because I realized the night before that I had forgotten to buy any! Rana brought grape leaves & salad.
Sadly, my pictures came out too dark.
Here is a picture of our tree.
It was a great day!
On Saturday, the 23rd (Happy Birthday Deanna), Mom and I went out to eat and then to the Ballantyne Hotel to see the Gingerbread House competition.
This entry wasn't a Gingerbread House per se, but, it was my favorite for obvious reasons (kitty cat)
I promise to do a much better job of blogging in 2018. I had forgotten how much I really enjoy it. But, before I go, I will post this picture of the world's laziest dog, Balto. This is the actual conversation we had on Christmas night:
Me: "Balto, do you want to go for a walk?"
Balto:
I'm pretty sure he is thinking that if he doesn't make eye contact, maybe I will go away and he would not have to go for a walk.

Don't worry about the dark pics--just call it dinner by candlelight. Your tree is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI'm curious: what is the not-gingerbread cat made of? Cake? Did Balto ever go out for his walk? He sure is a couch potato!
