I can't tell you how happy I am it is Friday. Dad came home from Rehabilitation last Thursday and is doing well. I was a nervous wreck at first because he is still rather wobbly. I still can't quite relax when I see him walking around. A physical therapist is supposed to start coming to the house to work on his strength so he can have better balance.
Saturday was the Awana Grand Prix. Both Daniel and Laura had "cars" entered in the race. I say"cars" because Laura had a bus. Check them out....they have little pictures of themselves in the driver seat.
Laura was a little restless so we walked around the church during the race and missed her bus being raced. Apparently, she won all 3 races she was in. Her "class" was not being judged for speed so she got a trophy and a certificate for being in the race. Here is a picture of us inside of the sanctuary. She looks like she is praying but, she really isn't. Or, heck, maybe she is!
Daniel's car came in 3rd place for speed out of his class. He got a trophy.
A good time was had by all. Here are some random pictures that I just really want to document on my blog.
This bush at my house is really growing. I think it is called a Snowball something. It looks like hydrangea. Anybody?
Dad & Scott. Dad walked over to my house on Sunday to see what Scott was up to.
Today is actually Daniel's 9th birthday. We are all going out to celebrate shortly. I'm sure I will have some pictures to post soon.

Wow! Congrats to both Laura and Daniel on their wins. It's too bad Laura missed seeing her bus race.
ReplyDeleteGlad to see your Dad is home. He's looking better.
Your bush could be a hydrangea. I know there are several varieties. I'm just surprised to see one in full bloom this time of year. Mine doesn't flower until late August. (And then it's full of bees and butterflies.)
