Can you believe Christmas is here? If only "End of (work) Year" didn't fall at the same time. I've been spending most of my free time working this weekend. On a positive note, I'm finally getting over my most recent cold.
Amanda, my cousin, posted this on Facebook and it really spoke to me. :-)
Scott finished my sideboard and he did a fantastic job. He said that he will never build anything that big again! I had told him that we could always just buy one at IKEA but, he insisted on building it himself. Now I finally have a nice place to store my china. This is a much better place than the closet floor.
Here he is distressing the wood. He wanted it to have a rustic look.
She is always with Scott.
Blossom took a break from all of her hard work in the shop and enjoyed the warm weather.
It is tough being a shop dog.
Meanwhile, "Not My Parents' Cat" took a nap in front of their tree.
Dad wanted to go out for fish on Friday night so, Scott and I took them to Captain Steve's. It has been a while since Dad has felt like going out so, this was a blessing. Mom and Dad are having a hard time getting around now and I don't take these outings for granted.

Tomorrow: Mom has cataract surgery on her left eye.
Beautiful sideboard! Scott did a super job. That stress/excitement saying (meme?) is very appropriate. You should carry it around with you for a constant reminder. :) Happy day before the day before Christmas.
