Gartie lives beside/under this old fence post in the corner of my yard. Every day I go out and check on him/her and say hello. According to Gart's eyes, it is getting ready to shed its skin.
We planted 14 different kinds of tomato plants, 2 squash, and 2 cucumber plants. The strawberry plants we planted last year are spreading and producing a lot of fruit. The problem is that the bugs are getting to them first.
I took Balto to see Nana and Papa this week. He shoved his way into Papa's arms in hopes of getting some spaghetti. Notice where his eye is focused:
Blossom had another tough (but happy) week. We have scheduled her for hydro & laser therapy on Wednesday and hope that she will cooperate. Scott stopped taking her to therapy once they banned pet owners from going inside. Blossom is very attached to us and most likely will fight going in on her own. I bought a new mattress for our daybed and we gave the old one to Blossom. She is loving it!
Earlier this week, Dad fell asleep at the table while he was waiting on us to fix supper....
Speaking of Dad...it's Father's Day.
Scott walked over about 5 minutes too late for photos. I had just picked up burgers and fries from Five Guys and we didn't want them to get cold. For that reason alone...no Scott in this year's photos. Ha!
Dad had asked me for DVD's of some of his favorite Southern Gospel Quartets. I got him a couple of those but I also got him....
Trumpy Bear. Yes, I did. He was so surprised and excited. He said he was going to put it with his Caddyshack Gopher. (Actually I think he called it a badger) I think he will sleep with Trumpy Bear. He was more excited over this bear than he was the bobblehead of himself. I need to get a picture of Dad with his Dancing Santa, Dancing Snowman, Big Mouth Billy Bass, Caddyshack Gopher, Obama bobblehead, personalized bobblehead and now Trumpy Bear. He has quite the novelty collection going on.
Today, Dad told me that he was going to carry me to the salon and tell them to dye my hair the same color as my mom. I told him that if my natural color was good enough for God it was good enough for him. He said, "If my daughter has gray hair then it makes me look old". I said, "Dad, my hair isn't what makes you look old". He laughed and then later asked me if I had thought about going blonde. My Dad is 85 years old and worried about looking old.
Random memes I enjoyed this week:
I really felt this one:
This one is so true:
Finally,
I hope you have a great week!

Your garden looks luscious. Are fried green tomatoes on the menu? No snakes for me! I just don't see anything cute about them. I wish I could take fun candids of Truffles. Unfortunately, every time I point my camera at her she gives me exactly the same pose. Why is that, do you suppose? My Mom used to say the exact same thing about my hair. Not my fault if her hair turned yellow-white while mine turned silver. It's a gene thing. Trumpy Bear is hilarious. I'd love to see a photo of your Dad with his collection.
