This has been a restful, albeit non-productive weekend. Friday night, I hung out with my sister-in-law while the rest of the family went out to eat. I had eaten Mexican for lunch and couldn't bear the thought of eating out again.
Saturday, I got a massage. I go every 12 weeks. I like massages but, I'm not sure how beneficial they really are according to "science". At the very least, I enjoy talking to my massage therapist. She always gives helpful advice.
Friday Night - Where's Balto?
I may have let my laundry situation get out of hand last week.
He's so fancy...
I ordered Daniel a Water Bottle Rocket for him and his Daddy to build together. It took Daniel all of 2 minutes to put it together and he didn't even read the directions. I was disappointed with that because I want him to learn to follow directions. Oh well, why should he be any different from most guys. He did let his dad help him a little.
This was Mom during the set up.
And here is the send off...
I recommend that you don't turn the sound on. My Dad yells, "OK Daniel" and it might scare the bejesus out of you. Also, my apologies for any video recommendations Youtube may suggest after you watch it.

The water bottle rocket was great fun until it went so high and landed in a tree. This is us looking at it.
It never came down on Saturday. It did come down Sunday night. Daniel decided to amuse himself by blowing balloons.
Laura was spending the day with one of her new helpers. She goes out more than the rest of us now.
It's just plain hot. Today when we were outside, the "real feel" temperature was 98. Way too hot.
Here's mom and Daniel watching cartoons.
If you're wondering why I post all of these pictures, it is so that one day Daniel can look back at his childhood - and I can look back and remember what I did with my life. LOL!!!
My good friend Linda became a Grandmother this weekend about a month earlier than anticipated. That was happy news.
Tomorrow I am going to Ovens Auditorium with Miranda and one of her friends to see a comedienne named Heather Land. I don't know her so, Miranda....if you are reading this....If I don't laugh, you owe me my money back. (wink, wink).
I'm reading a really good book by Rachel (Wojo) Wojnarowski called One More Step - Finding Strength When You Feel Like Giving Up. The book is a couple of years old but, I am really learning a lot from her wisdom. I have enjoyed reading her blog for years. Rachel has such a strong faith. Not only is she the mother of 7 kids, her oldest daughter is special needs with a terminal diagnosis. There's my book plug for the month.
Have a great Monday! Oh wait, I feel I should post a picture of Scott otherwise you will all wonder where he is. Here he is cutting the grass. Blossom was with him but she became camera shy.

Why Julie, I'm shocked! I've never seen your home so messy. ;) I'll bet Balto was in seventh heaven lying amid the laundry. The bottle rocket is really something. Does it go up filled with water or empty? If it's full I wouldn't want to be standing under it when it comes down.
