Aros got adopted last week! That makes my heart so happy.
In less exciting news....I bought onion goggles.
I just don't think cutting onions is supposed to hurt as bad as it does.
My brother asked me to take a picture of the fall tree at church so...I put Daniel in the picture.
Daniel always has to have "things" with him. (Note the jingle bells on a string in his hand.) He is very sensory. For example, I took this picture at Nana's on Monday night. He has 2 computer fans, an old phone headset, some batteries and wires. After he left, I put them downstairs in the play room.
Tuesday night, they were back...
Scott gave him the computer "fans" a couple of years ago and he keeps them close by. On Tuesday, Papaw took Daniel to Lowe's to buy a leaf blower (battery powered as Papaw has a pacemaker now) and some things to make a lamp. Papaw wore himself out with that trip. Check him out below; he is asleep.
Daniel has been wanting to build a lamp ever since Mom & Dad bought new floor lamps last month. I'll show you the finished product in a moment.
Blossom and Balto have been catching up on their sleep this week.
Please notice Balto on the couch beside the tree. We don't always (notice him) and he gets sat on a lot.
Today, Mom and I took Daniel to eat breakfast with Santa at church. It is for our church's Relay for Life fundraising team for Cancer. Laura did not go because #1 She doesn't like pancakes & #2 She had horse therapy. As usual, Daniel said "Today was the best day of my entire life".
Don't worry; lots more people showed up to see Santa. We got there early and stayed for a while.
Daniel made some crafts.
For the first time, I decided to do my grocery shopping online today. I didn't have it delivered though, I drove up to the express lane and they brought it to my car. This is going to be my favorite thing ever. Mom gave me her list so I bought groceries for her & for myself FROM MY COUCH while watching a Hallmark movie. Oh the time and stress I saved! I love it.
As promised, here is the lamp Daniel put together. He wired it himself. He also told me that it wasn't wired very "safe" and that he got shocked in the process. Ugh. So much to teach Daniel about electricity.

Onion goggles! Love them. I wonder what genius came up with that idea? But if you have to remove your glasses to use them, how well can you see?
ReplyDeleteI think Daniel will grow up to be an electrician. It's scary how hands-on he is with electrical things. And OMG, I love the green ornament with the candy-cane stripe glasses! Clever boy.
Does Aros have any vision at all? He looks like he might be completely blind. So glad that someone opened their heart and home to him. Now when are you going to get a cat?
