After a while, kitty woke up and they stared at each other. I called Balto to come sit on the couch with me and he backed up, one foot after the other, in super slow motion. I'm not sure why he did that but, it was hilarious.
Scott and Blossom continued to work on the fence for the garden.
Meet Clover and Cloud. They are 1/2 Lop and 1/2 Lionhead bunnies that my neighbor brought home this week. I hope to go over and see their new hutch tomorrow. Clover and Cloud are the softest animals I have ever held.
Saturday (today), Daniel raced in the Awana Grand Prix at our church. This year, he chose to build a Police car. For reasons I don't understand, the flashing red and blue LED lights would not show up in the picture. It was very visible in person and you could see his car from far away because of them. I wish the photo would do it justice. The lights were 100% Daniel's idea (of course). If you look closely, there is a picture of Daniel wearing a police hat in the car window.
He won first place in his class and first place in design. The design category was voted on by everyone in attendance.
Proud Mom.
Some of his competitors...
I didn't get a single picture of Mom and myself but we were there cheering Daniel on to 1st place. Dad was home with a bad headache or he would have been there for sure.
Final score:
As soon as the race was over, Rana had to go to work and Kevin took Laura to horse therapy. Mom and I took Daniel to celebrate with a cheeseburger and an Oreo milkshake.
Mom ordered pancakes with a side order of bacon. Yum.
"This is the greatest day ever."
"This is the best day of my life."
"This is the best day except for my birthday."
"This day is amazing."
"Nothing could happen to stop this from being an amazing day."
"Winning makes me tired."
He told the girl who brought our food all about his big win. She told him that she made a robot in her robotics class at school and came back and showed him a picture of it. She said, "I'm going to be a Mechanical Engineer". Daniel told her he was going to be an Engineer too.
When we got back to my parent's house, Dad showed Daniel some exercises he has been working on.
Monday, I met with an esthetician at my dermatologist's office. The UV photos she took of my skin were very interesting (and scary). I scored well in all of the categories except for redness and brown spots. Friday, she used a YAG Laser to remove the spider veins from around my nose. I wish I had good before/after photos for you. It really was quite miraculous how they disappeared the instant she touched them with the laser. When I went to trace the veins with concealer this morning I was so surprised to see that after many years, there was nothing there. I laid it back down without even using it!
Some people describe the laser as feeling like a rubber band popping your face. I thought it felt like a super tiny curling iron touching burning my skin. I'm sure I will have to keep getting this procedure done every few years as more pop up. It only took about 10 minutes and that is about as much as I would want to sit for. I feel for people who wait until their entire face is covered and have to sit there for an hour. Durn my Irish skin!
My house is in desperate need of cleaning so I will go work on that now. Who am I kidding? I'm just going to sit on my couch and procrastinate for a while. Until next time...

Way to go, Daniel! Do you think the purple on his skin in one pic is a reflection of the LED lights on his police car? So the lights do show up. Love the super soft bunnies. Are they both in the photo, or only one? I can't tell. Your food photos remind me that I haven't had lunch yet and it's almost 1:30 pm. I'm hungry! Can't wait to see a selfie of your laser-improved face.
