It's 10:00 pm on Sunday night and I'm not ready for the weekend to end. Last week was a blur as we had several VIP's from our corporate office in town for most of the week and everything was out of our normal routine. The men were all very nice and I like them very much but, my social anxiety won't let me relax when they are around.
Here are a few highlights from my week:
A typical Sunday afternoon last week: Mom reading the paper while Daniel watches SpongeBob and plays games on his iPad.
Dad hanging out with us and being "Dad".
Monday night, Mom made breakfast for supper. Mom doesn't cook as much as she used to so it was good to see her in the kitchen.
With our bosses in town this week, Jim and I didn't get to watch our soap operas at lunch. Friday, I put my iPad in my drawer and listened to our stories while I worked.
Scott and Blossom continued working on the garden. It's time to plant!
I caught Dad napping yesterday.
Blossom couldn't resist a Moses made out of a toilet paper roll. In related news, the Ten Commandments are missing.
Kevin and Rana had to work today (Sunday) so I brought the kids home from church.
Laura's care worker picked her up for the afternoon, so I made lunch for Mom, Dad, Daniel, and myself. Kevin was able to take a break for lunch so he ate with us. Daniel took a bite of his lunch (chicken) and said, "This is good. It is much better than I thought it was going to be". I don't really know if I should be offended or not - Ha!
While I was cooking lunch, Scott and Daniel watched Snow Buddies in the theater. When I turned on the lights, I found this...
I took Daniel (and the food) back to Mom and Dad's house for lunch. Daniel spent the afternoon in their
Mom and I finished off the weekend by going to hear our church choir's Easter cantata tonight.
I'm looking forward to a "normal" work day tomorrow. Tuesday, I have an appointment with my therapist after work to see if she can help me with my fear of driving over bridges. I don't have a problem with little bridges....it is the overpass bridges on the interstate and most definitely on long or high bridges over water. Dad wants me to take him to see one of his brothers on Friday who lives 2 hours away. Fortunately, my brother has Good Friday off as well so I am hoping he will drive us! Otherwise.....I. just. don't. know. how. this. is. going. to work. The last time I took Dad to see one of his sisters it ended up with me stopping in the emergency lane on a busy overpass and us switching places because I thought I was going to pass out and die. I can't describe to you the fear and the shame of it all; it isn't rational. It causes you to feel like less of a person that everyone else. Anxiety is no joke but, I will never give up hope.
Here's to a good week for everyone!

You had a busy week! I hope you had the sound down low while watching your soaps at work. ;) I love breakfast for any meal of the day: breakfast, lunch or supper. My only suggestion for the missing 10 Commandments is to check Blossom's poop, although they're small enough not to show up. At any rate, you won't be able (or want) to reuse them. I envy you your home theater--WOW! As a child I had a fear of going over bridges, but that went away when I started driving. Keep your eyes on the road and traffic and you won't notice how far down the water is.
