I see this stupid vine every time I walk to Mom and Dad's house. It taunts me. I've asked God, "Why God, Why?' I'm sure He had a reason for creating Poison Ivy but, I can't imagine what it could be.
I just saw a funny question, "What would a world populated by clones of you be like?" I'm going to try to answer this. A world populated by Julie clones would be a world of niceness. Everyone would be really nice to each other but, that's basically it. There would be no scientific breakthroughs; nothing would get built. It would be a very happy and kind place but, no one would be smart enough to accomplish anything. There would be a lot of really good helpers but no leader. Everyone would worry what people thought and wonder if they were doing things right. All of the animals would be treated with kindness but, poison ivy would be be irradiated somehow. Wait, none of the clones would be smart enough to know how to do that. In summary, thank God there is not a world populated by Julie clones. One is more than enough!
What would a world populated by clones of YOU be like?

I don't know what that vine is, either, but it strangles all the trees along the boundary of my back yard.
ReplyDeleteYour world of Julie clones is an absolute hoot. I don't even want to think about what a world of Lorraine clones would be like. Although it might not be so bad if everyone in the world collected dolls, provided there were enough people left to make the dolls for everyone else to collect.
Lorraine, that vine is poison ivy here in the south. "Leaves of 3, let them be". I'm so allergic it isn't funny; it is TORTURE to break out in a poison ivy rash. I used to always get it from my brother's dog Sophie. She would play in the woods and I would never know that she had the oil on her coat when I petted her.
ReplyDeleteIf there were a world of Lorraine clones there would be so many dolls! Sounds like a movie..."In a world of Lorraines, the resin dolls would outnumber people".
Maybe it's the angle of the photo, but I've never seen poison ivy with such large leaves or so high off the ground. Poison ivy around here grows low and has shiny leaves. I just had a look outside and what's growing behind my house looks more like a parasitic tree that's trying to climb across the other trees.
DeleteIn my world, the dolls already outnumber the people. :D
