This was on my Instagram this morning...I feel like I need to tattoo it on my hand.
A very sweet friend lost her husband unexpectedly this week. I've been so heartbroken for her and her family. It really has spoken to me that I need to live in the present and just enjoy life, with gratitude, each day.
I'm posting this for documentation. When I walked over to visit Mom & Dad last night, I found this...
Daniel is throwing darts at a foam roller with an airplane on top. I have no idea why. Daniel & Laura have been at "Active Outdoors Camp" during the day this week and today they went on a field trip to the Carolina Raptor Center. Daniel was so excited to see the raptors. He seems most excited to see a Bald Eagle. Here is a picture of the craft he made.
It is a rope bracelet. My Dad asked him if he could make one and Daniel told him, "I doubt it". They love to give each other a very hard time.
I wish Laura could tell us what she thinks about camp. She has a caretaker that goes with her. Today, Laura turns 12. We are going to Red Robin for her birthday party tonight. Her 2 caretakers are supposed to join us as well. Aunt Julie went a little bit overboard in buying clothes for Laura's birthday. I think I bought 8 shirts and 4 pair of pants. Laura has enough going on in her life to deal with so cute clothes will not be one of them!
Last year, Linda and I went to see Duran Duran in concert. I'd insert a picture of us at the concert but, I didn't take one!!! Ugh. Anyway, I ordered a DVD of Duran Duran in concert right after that night. The only one I could find was from a 2011 concert in Manchester. I came across that DVD last week, unopened, so last night I decided to put it on in the theater and have my own private concert. Poor Scott, I'm sure he could hear me belting out the songs along with the band!
I turned the light on to take a picture of my concert buddy. Balto attended the concert as well....
I wonder what he thought about the show. I think he'd be more into Jazz. Blossom would probably like Gangsta Rap.

I like your concert buddy. He looks really into it. Happy Birthday to Laura! Wow, 12 already. Time flies. I hope she loves all the stuff you bought her.
