It's the Monday after Daylight Savings Time and I'm dragging. Currently, I am sitting in the waiting room at the Sanger Heart and Vascular Clinic while my mom is having a stress test. We were told to arrive at 7:30 a.m. which, today, feels like 6:30 a.m. Wait....it really feels like 3:30 a.m. I didn't get to sleep late on Sunday morning since I teach a class of 4 year olds at church. (I would have played hooky if I could, just to get my hour back.) To add to my sleepiness, Megan and I went to see John Crist at the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center last night and I didn't get home until 11:00 pm.
John was hilarious as always.
We started our evening eating at Capishe: Real Italian Kitchen. It was warm enough outside that they were able to put the garage doors up.
The pictures make it look like we were the only customers around. We had gotten there early and by the time we left it was starting to fill up.
Megan even caught a t-shirt that was thrown out by one of the comedians.
I just checked my email and this was teasing me. At least I got the first half last night...
As soon as I added that picture, the stress test technician came out and told me I should go to work because Mom's test would take 3 hours. He took me back to see her and she was getting something to drink before I left for a few hours. When I went to pick her up, I took this photo of her face when she saw me in the waiting room. Look how cute she is. I made it look like I was reading something on my phone so she wouldn't know I was photographing her...again.
When we arrived home, Dad had just gotten out of bed and was reading his Bible.
It's much later in the day and I can barely keep my eyes open. I hope to go to bed early tonight.
The technician told Mom that her doctor will be in touch with the results of her stress test. She is still in atrial fibrillation but, that is all we know.

Glad I'm not the only one who can't catch up on Daylight Savings Time. I thought I'd make up for lost sleep last night and ended up sleeping only 2 hrs this morning. I don't know what you ate at Capishe but both plates look yummy. Please tell me they were both loaded with cheese so I won't crave any.
ReplyDeleteOk, they were both LOADED with cheese. Actually, mine didn't have any cheese on it at all (that I know of). I'm not sure what exactly Megan's had on it..... I had rigatoni w/ mushrooms, onions and chicken. I hope you have caught up on sleep now.
