I had a birthday this week.
I am so thankful for another year. Forty-Four was a good year...not an easy year...but a very good year.
Scott and I went out for Dinner at Bistro D'Antonio. Ok...indulge me for a moment. I am going to post some pictures so that some day I can look back and remember what I looked like on my 45th birthday. LOL
Scott wouldn't smile in that picture because he said it "brings out the bags under his eyes."
Megan surprised me by driving all the way out to my office and bringing sweet treats from Amelie's. I was so surprised when the door opened and there she was!
I heard from so many of my friends on my birthday this year; my cup runneth over. In honor of another year, I found a few questions online to ask myself. I'm sure it was meant for children but here goes:
- What’s one thing you want to do this year? Have a nice family vacation at the beach. I want my parents to be able to get away from the house for a few days and enjoy the ocean. And without any type of health issues or crises!
- What brings you the most happiness? Hugging my dogs
- What are you afraid of? Fear; I'm terrified of fear.
- What makes you mad? When people are mean to those who can't help themselves (children, the disabled, elderly, animals etc.).
- When do you feel the most loved? When I'm with Mom.
- If you had one wish, what would you wish for? I would wish for Laura to find her voice.
- What is the funniest word? Cattywampus. I've never thought much about that word until I read that only Southerners use it.
- What is the hardest thing to do? Focus at work
- What is the easiest thing to do? Watch TV
- If you had all the money in the world, what would you do with it? Open up therapy centers for those with autism; also donate to animal rescues & nursing homes.
Jim (my boss) and I went shopping at Black Lion today after lunch because, for the 2nd day in a row, our soaps were preempted by Judicial hearings. I saw these creepy items for sale....
And I also found this...
It is on sale for $295.00. $295.00!!!
And finally a couple of pictures of my loves...

Happy Belated Birthday! Or is that Belated Happy Birthday? Whichever it is, 45 looks good on you. (Wait 'til you get to be my age.) Also, I'm not sure which items you found creepy at the antique store. If you mean the doll heads, people who make, restore, customize, or "reborn" dolls would see them as a source of inspiration and opportunity. Personally, I'm not attracted to baby dolls, but someone will buy one (or both) of those heads and end up making a lot of money.
ReplyDeleteThat actually makes sense about the doll heads. I couldn't imagine why you would put doll heads on a book shelf - especially one that didn't have eyes.....or frankly, a body. Your thought makes perfect sense.
