Scott woke up early today to paint the (garden) fence before the thermometer hit 90 degrees.
This was a momentous occasion because Scott NEVER gets up before I do on Saturday. I'm usually up by 8:00 am and he gets up by 1:00 pm.
Christy and I went to Mac Tabby Cat Cafe to play with cats today. Cats make me happy.
Afterwards, we ate at Leroy Fox in Southend. It was yummy!
I had the Berry Almond Salad.
Christy had the Southwestern Salad w/ shrimp.
When I went to visit Mom and Dad, it was business as usual.
Mom was concerned because Dad's blood pressure had been 200 something over 115. She said that Dad thought his heart was out of rhythm also. When I asked where he was, she said that he drove over to the new Chili's to see if it was open; Ugh. Thankfully, Dad has Onstar and I can track his car. He was exactly where he said he would be and was home soon. His blood pressure was much better when he returned - 155 over 90 (still not great) and his heart was "normal" per the EKG app that I have. (Mom, on the other hand, is still in atrial fibrillation.) I'm on alert in case I get a call in the middle of the night saying we need to go to the ER. He has promised me that he will see his primary care physician next week. Other than that, it was a great day!

If I were a cat I'd want to live at the cat café. Who'd want to get adopted and miss out on all that fun?
ReplyDeleteYour berry almond salad almost made me bite my computer screen. I want some of that!
