Lightbulbs and Other Randomness

Monday, January 14, 2019

I took this picture today (Sunday).  Daniel said, "I'm excited about my lightbulb".  Kids are weird.  Who am I kidding, everyone is weird.

I took this picture Friday night.  Daniel likes to keep certain items with him at all times.  These are the things that he had beside him while he sat on the couch and watched cartoons Friday.  When it comes time for him to leave Nana & Papaw's house, he just puts them on their fireplace and gets them  back out the next time he comes over.

I snapped this photo while he was watching tv....

I asked him what he had in his hand and he said "It's a gage."  I said, "What kind of gage?"  He told me it was a "psi gage".  Of course, I had to ask what a psi gage is.  He explained to me that it measures pressure.  Oh.

I took this picture of my dad eating a McDonald's cheeseburger (clearly not on his heart diet) to point out the neighbor's cat.

Mom took all of the ornaments off of her Christmas tree but has decided to keep it up a little longer.  She really enjoys looking at the lights and I explained to her that there is no reason she has to take it down yet.  This is the longest she has ever left it up.

After Daniel asked me to tie his pants today, I realized that no one has ever taught him to tie his shoe!  I showed him a video on Youtube and Nana let him borrow a pair of her shoes.  He did it!  He was so proud and couldn't stop telling everyone that he had tied his first shoe ever!  He drew the circle around the bows so we would know where to look...

He also made me take a video of him tying them.

Yesterday, I looked out my window and saw several deer.  One had the biggest rack I have ever seen in person.  Balto was outside and I caught him doing this out the window...

I'm pretty sure he didn't move a muscle for 15 minutes.

Speaking of Balto, I was wasting time on Google today when I realized there was someone watching me over the top of my laptop.  I'm not sure how long he was staring at me.

I fell asleep while composing this post so I'm just going to call it a day and send it now.  Have a great day!

  1. Random posts are always fun. Daniel with his collected bits and pieces looks like he's waiting for inspiration to strike. He did a really nice job on the bows on Nana's shoes. Balto may not be a pointer, but his stance certainly shows an instinct to alert his owner to game. I wish you had taken photos of the deer. We don't get deer in this neighborhood, just foxes and a bear. I'd prefer the deer, myself.
