Weekend Wrap Up

Monday, January 28, 2019

In my mind, everyone (else) has very exciting weekends.  Scott and I did eat out Saturday night at Olive Garden for the first time in a few years.  (Eat your heart out Kim Kardashian.)

Last summer, I bought a book for Daniel about Humphrey the hamster.  He used Humphrey for a school project.

I knew that Humphrey was a hamster so I made sure to tell him that I loved his hamster.  He said  that everyone was telling him that it looked like a cat.  It does but, I'm really not sure how I would have made him any different to look like a hamster.

The heat went out in his house on Thursday so here he is explaining to me what is wrong with it:(Check out his firefighter rain boots.)

Mom found my high school graduation "cap".  She won't let me throw it away for some reason.  She said I can throw it away when she is gone. (What a "mom" thing to say?!)  I guess I know where my brother gets his hoarding from.  Daniel said it was the best cap ever because it meant "no more school".

My cap looks purple now; it used to be blue.  I guess you can say that my high school graduation was a long time ago.

Just a normal Saturday at my parents' house...

I've never seen Laura's hair up like this.  I really liked it.

Even though Dad says "no", I may have let the cat in.

The neighbors' cat sure brings Mom a lot of joy.  That is a picture of him helping her get his food.

Kevin's kids love him.

I'd post a picture of Rana in a really cute sweater but, she'd kill me. She wasn't camera ready.

Still working on letters with Laura.

A picture of Dad's feet just because...well...Daddy.

I bored Mom so much that she fell asleep.  Shockingly, there is no Hallmark movie on behind her.

Do you see the spotted dog to the right of the TV?  Dad found that in their basement and brought it up because he said it was "cute".  He told me that he'd like to get another one.  I didn't have the heart to tell him that it is actually a toilet brush holder.  A few weeks after he put brought it upstairs, Daniel spilled the beans.  Dad didn't care; it's been there for over a year now.

Scott made doughnuts.

I'll end this with a picture of the sweetest dog ever.

  1. At first glance, I thought the "hamster" was something from Cake Wrecks. (Sorry, Daniel, but it does look more like a cat.) Be it blue or purple, be happy that you have a graduation cap. I graduated in a long dress from a bridal shop and later cut it to street length to get more wear from it. I roared with laughter at the spotted dog toilet brush holder. I've never seen one like it. If you don't tell anyone what it is, it does look like a sculpture. Sweet photo of Balto. I like Laura's updo, too.
